With stunning design, aggressive deep-V hull and powerful Volvo engines matched to luxurious accommodations below deck the Windy 37 Grand Mistral HT is a very sporty family cruiser. She is sure to turn heads in any marina or anchorage and is one of those remarkably few yachts equally suited for a rough seaway, stylish entertaining or kicking back in a bathing suit.
This 2006 Windy 37 was a dealer demonstrator with approximately 40 hours. The vessel offered for sale has a white hull and does not have teak side decks or foredeck. It is offered for sale at below original dealer net.
Arrangement and Accommodations
The 37 Grand Mistral is a Windy classic whose refined and timeless design, solid craftsmanship and excellent sea-keeping abilities make her a popular family cruiser. Due to her North Sea heritage the Grand Mistral performs well in all sea conditions. Windys are renowned for their phenomenal hulls and consistent, long-lasting quality. They attract attention for their intelligent use of space and practical solutions to the usual accommodation and storage dilemmas.
The cockpit is spacious, with a teak sole, a large U-shaped sofa and a table that seats eight. The table lowers to create a huge sun bed or outside berth. Opposite the table is a wet bar/serving area. There is plenty of storage under all the seats and the wet bar. A secure doorway leads to the teak covered swim platform with swim ladder.
The helmsman's position with seats for three at the console provides excellent visibility and easy access to ships controls, systems and electronics including the remotely operated power anchor windlass. Secure and comfortable grab rails are integrated into the windscreen and hardtop for safe movement about the boat. The hard top has an electric sun roof and arch for electronics and navigation lights. The cockpit floor is raised hydraulically to reveal a walk in engine compartment.
The expansive foredeck with its sun cushion is perfect for sunbathing or just relaxing with guests. It is surrounded by a substantial stainless steel rail for safety and has hand rails for passage from the cockpit. At the bow is a large chain locker with bow roller and power windlass.
The refined fittings, leather and fine fabrics, high-gloss pear wood interior and teak and holly cabin sole provide a real sense of luxury in the salon below. There is a fully equipped galley to starboard with Corian counter top and a large L shaped leather sofa with fixed dining table to port. Beautifully finished wood storage cabinets surround the cabin in classic Windy style.
There are two large private staterooms. The fore cabin with a comfortable double bed. And an elegant mid ships cabin with good standing room for changing, double bed and direct access to the head. A well appointed, practical bathroom with shower and vacuum toilet offers excellent accommodation in beautifully appointed surroundings.
